PATRIOTIC REVIEW Sept 2020 We Will Never Forget: 9/11

Hello Fellow Patriots,

This Friday is the commemoration of the worst terrorist attack on American soil.  We remember; we will NEVER forget!  Someone said the greatness of a nation can be measured not by the people it produces but by those it chooses to remember.  All of our courageous first responders and the citizens that lost their lives; their sacrifice will be for nothing if we as a nation fail to commemorate that day.

Great news!  The signature drive to recall the tyrant in the Governor’s Office is underway!  This is a grass roots movement Taking Nevada Back by Recalling Sisolak:  Battle ★ Born ★ Patriots. The focus is singular: gathering the required number of signatures to force a special election.  We cannot afford to have him still in office when the next legislative session begins.  In addition to signing the petition, your help and support is needed to make this happen.  There are numerous ways you can help besides circulating a petition.  Contact your County Lead  here to find out what you can do https://www.takingnevadaback.com/. This is a history making endeavor that will ever remind people seeking office that “we the people” are in charge.

In the history of this country there have always been attempts to manipulate elections.  Cheating during the elections has never been as wide spread and the election process has never been as vulnerable as it is today. This leads me to the need for Poll Watchers.  We need Poll Watchers to stave off voter fraud. If you are interested please look at the dates and locations below this letter and contact Carole Fineberg at simi4relo@gmail.com.

Happenings to note:  This Friday there is a GOP Cocktail Social as well as a Never Forget 9-11 Car/Flag Rally and BBQ. Saturday will be the broadcast of Race Across America.  Tuesday for lunch is the RMC meeting at the Atlantis.  Tuesday evening is the Convention of States Zoom Meeting which is also the anniversary the proposal of Article V of the Constitution at the Constitutional Convention.  Also, consider signing the Nevada Right to Life petition.

Best Regards,

Bruce Parks

PATRIOTIC REVIEW Oct 2020 Things are heating up and I’m not talking about the weather

Hello Patriots,

As the days and weeks before the election are flying by us, they are also buzzing heavily with activity.   This weekend is filled with two local opportunities to display your patriotism both on October 3rd.  Drag The Interstate is a car/flag rally with multiple starting locations each making its way to Carson City with a drag of the Capital.  The second event is the Cops Cruise in Reno, a flag waving, horn honking good time.  An RSVP would be appreciated for this event.  Also on Saturday, Oct 3, 3:00-6:00pm, (a private home in Washoe Valley), is the Diamonds & Boots Hoe-Down/BBQ Fundraiser. $210. Reservations at washoegop.org.

Poll Watchers are still needed (see the notes below), as they are a first line defense in detecting election fraud.   There are two petitions circulating that might be of interest to you: Taking Nevada Back: Battle Born Patriots is collecting signatures to recall Sisolak and Nevada Right To Life is collecting signatures to protect our girls.

Coming up next week:  On Tuesday, October 6th is a 5:30 potluck/6:00 meeting located at the Trump headquarters, 1155 W. 4th St, Ste 121. Washoe County Republican Assembly   (WCRA). The Program: US Congressman Mark Amodei, Carole Fineberg (Making Your Vote Secure), Bruce Parks (Recall Sisolak Movement).  Nevada Patriot will be holding an indoor meeting on October 8th from 6pm – 8pm at the  Trump Headquarters located at 1155 W. 4th Street in Reno (Keystone Plaza).  Guest speakers will include Eddie Lorton who is running in a highly contested race for Reno City Council At Large.

There are two opportunities available to hear Jesse Jane Duff, a conservative dynamo who works for the Trump Campaign.  The first is Thursday, October 8, 11:00am doors open, Republican Women of Reno (RWR), Red Hawk Golf Club, 6600 Wingfield Springs Pkwy.  The second opportunity  is at the Trump Headquarters, 1155 W. 4th Street in Reno (Keystone Plaza), on Friday, October 9th from 10am to 2pm. Besides Jesse Jane Duff, a speaker from the Washoe County Registrar of Voters will field questions on ballot processing and you will learn about poll watching.   Get your morning donuts and coffee and a lunch for $10 at the door (cash or check).   RSVP to Kathy Doyle kathydoyle@mac.com.  You may want to mark your calender and plan on attending Carole Fineberg’s Conservative Talk Lunch on Wednesday, October 14 at 11:00am, Paisan’s Old World Deli, 6550 Longley Lane, Reno.  It is always a good time and I always leave having learned something.

There is no doubt we are in a battle for our state, our country and our way of life.  It has been said that the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Be it big or be it small,  let none of us be doing nothing.  It is going to take all of us.

Best Regards,

Bruce Parks

PATRIOTIC REVIEW Nov 2020 Waiting is the hardest thing to do

Hello Patriots,

There are two weeks left to Recall the Governor of Nevada.  If you haven’t signed the petition, now is the time.  Go to www.takingnevadaback.com for locations near you.  Please find there are multiple activities going on this week and next with  interesting speakers presenting (see below for details).

I admit it; I am not a patient man.  I much prefer action.  This waiting is taking a toll on all of us.  I wish I had words of wisdom, words to make this easier as waiting is hard.  I’m simply going to put a poem out there in honor of Veteran’s Day.

The Old Vet

I went downtown today to watch the parade.  As it made its way through town I did my best to stand on my one good leg as Old Glory passed me by and I wondered, as I looked around, why I was the only one and it almost made me cry because I earned that right.  I earned that right.  Not for me, but for you.

I got home in time to catch the news as the election results came in.  It made me sad to hear the news guy say that less than half of the people vote.  I thought of all of the people who would love to have a voice that could be heard and it almost made me cry because I earned that right.  I earned that right.  Not for me, but for you.

From the start of this country there have been people who understood that the color of freedom is crimson red.  They came back with broken bodies.  Some never came back at all.  All the ever wanted was for you to be the best American you can.

I went to church this Sunday and as I looked around I saw all of the people praying and I could not help but think about all of the people that gave their lives so they could choose this church and this time I did cry because we earned that right.  We earned the right. Not for us, but for you.

PATRIOTIC REVIEW Dec 2020 Keep America Great

PATRIOTIC REVIEW Dec 2020 Keep America Great

Hello Patriots,

I am happy to see 2020 coming to an end and doubt I am alone in this. None of us know what the New Year will bring for us, yet I do know that our commitment to our Constitution, our Country and to our American way of life must not waiver. I have major concerns over what may happen at the national level. I also have grave concerns about 2021 holds for Nevada. Let us continue standing together in our resolve to Keep America Great.

This upcoming Legislature can and will do enormous damage to our state; Nevada has both a liberally controlled State Assembly and Senate. The Battle Born Patriots group has become a watch dog organization and, among other things, will be working on fighting bills harmful to the citizens of this state. Leading the way is Barney Wadley. Barney held the position of Secretary for the first Sisolak Recall attempt. He is currently the Legislative Bill Coordinator for Battle Born Patriots (the group that attempted the last Sisolak Recall). He is leading a team of Patriots that will be reading, deciphering and digesting bills proposed during the 81st Legislative Session. You can help by working in teams that will take a bill, read it, follow it and give feedback on whether it is a bill that would be beneficial or detrimental to for Nevada. To join the team and assist in bill translation please email Barney Wadley at barneyw6@gmail.com .

January 6th is coming. What will Vice President Pence do? His options include:
1. Opening the certified ballots from the 50 states in which case Biden becomes President.
2. Counting the electoral votes from each state as he chooses. The contested states that submitted two opposing slates of electoral votes could have either or none of their electoral votes counted.
3. If neither candidate reaches 270 electoral votes, it will be decided by the House of Representatives; only one vote is allowed for each state.

It has been quite the roller coaster thrill so far and we are getting closer to the wildest part of the ride.

Best Regards,

Bruce Parks

Patriotic Perspective: 3

Patriotic Perspective: 3

Patriotic Perspective: 3
We talked about Federal abuse of power as it pertains to the commerce clause of the Constitution but there is also the abuse of power when it comes to the General Welfare clause. Our Founding Fathers envisioned a system of government that had at it’s core the welfare of ALL the people as a basic tenant. They expressly forbade the inclusion of any language in the Constitution that granted special favor to any specific entity. They empowered Congress to write laws that were designed to benefit the entire country and not just a specific person or corporation. You do not have to be a Constitutional expert to recognize how out of control our elected representatives were and are when it comes to taking care of special interests. Just look at all the laws enacted over railroads when they were the chief means of transportation in the latter half of the 19 th century. The Federal government used both the Commerce Clause and the General Welfare Clause to regulate every aspect of the railroads from construction to the price of a ticket and it still does to this day. If the first question asked when a bill is introduced into Congress was “Is this bill supported by the Constitution?” can you imagine how many bills would never make it to Committee? Better yet, if we went back and struck down all the laws that conflict with the Constitution, how would that reduce the size of our government? Congress has the authority to raise and spend money (taxes) but only for the general welfare of all the people!

PATRIOTIC PERSPECTIVE: 2
How did our government get to be as big as it is today? Actually, there are two reasons we do not have
even remotely the freedoms our Founding Fathers enjoyed. First, when hammering out the
Constitution, Congress was given the power to levy taxes and spend money. Alexander Hamilton said,
“Money is one of the essential agencies of Government. Without it no Government can exist, and
without the power to raise it, it cannot be had.”
This power was necessary for the preservation of the nation, but it was intended to be for the general
welfare of the people. Congress has no Constitutional authority to spend any money for anything that
does not benefit all the people. This is known as the Welfare Clause. Unfortunately, this clause has been
misconstrued and abused to the point that the original intent of our Founding Fathers has been lost. Our
current Congress taxes and spends uncontrollably. Government appetite for money is insatiable.
The second way our government grew to the behemoth it is today is through the Commerce Clause.
Congress was given the power to regulate commerce. The original intent was to ensure the free flow of
goods between the states. While our Constitution was being written, the states were engaged in trade
wars with each other and levying import taxes on goods from other states. Giving the power to regulate
commerce to Congress prevented the states from taking advantage of each other. Our founding Fathers
could not have foreseen that this power would be so perverted by our elected representatives. There
are over 4000 federal regulations attached to the hamburger you bought for lunch yesterday.
