Taking Back the Country Starts Locally

Taking Back the Country Starts Locally

Fellow Patriots,

I am very excited to begin this New Year! We have a lot of work to do with this being an election year so the first thing I would like to encourage everyone to do is sign up to be a poll worker or poll watcher. You can find the information to sign up here. The application to become a poll worker is here. There seems to be issues with Firefox and the Voter Registrar’s Office is recommending using Chrome, Safari, etc. They will also take your application over the phone at 775 328 3670. The deadline for signing up is February 4th. These positions are essential for ensuring that our elections are fair and that only eligible voters cast ballots.

We are meeting in person at the Spanish Springs Library this Thursday evening at 6:30pm. I will be speaking about the Washoe County School Board that will be electing new officers this week (let them know who YOU want to see as Chair), and Cindy Martinez will be addressing the Washoe County Board of Commissioners. Of note is the Washoe County Commissioners meeting tomorrow where they will be approving spending millions of dollars more for the CARE campus without any data or statistics demonstrating that what they are doing there is working in any way. Here is the Agenda and note Item 21. Also, any candidates in the house will be able to speak a few minutes and mingle with the people afterwards.

I encourage everyone to research the candidates running for office. There are some excellent people that fully support the principles we, as Patriots, stand for. There are also some people running that call themselves conservatives but have no idea what that means. This is a critical election year with a great deal at stake. I believe we are in a struggle to take back our country from those that would destroy her. I do not want my grandchildren growing up in a country where their liberties are controlled by the government. Not on my watch! It is essential that we elect strong, conservative Patriots to office this year. People that will not “go along to get along”. People with the backbone to stand up for those that elected them to office and tell the government to stick to the Constitution.

Bruce Parks

The Patriotic Review: Turning Up The Heat 4 November 2021

My Fellow Patriots,

I am very excited about the election results from Virginia. The Commonwealth now has a Republican Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General. This is what happens when patriots stand up and do the work to ensure the election is fair and honest. It is my sincere hope that we will see a similar outcome for the state of Nevada. It will require the same perseverance and hard work from we patriots to achieve a fair election. We need both poll workers and poll watchers sign up here: https://www.washoecounty.gov/voters/get-involved/election_workers/electionworkers_form.php

I would like to point out that there is nothing in Nevada law that precludes Washoe County from requiring ID to vote. Additionally, all mail-in ballots are not required by law. We have to put pressure on the county Commissioners to change the way Washoe County votes. The Washoe County Voter Registrar falls under the county manager, Eric Brown, who in turn is appointed by the County Commissioners; they can make this happen. Let’s turn up the heat. Let’s show up in numbers at the County Commissioner meetings and demand they take action. I would also like to get a snail mail campaign going that everyone can participate in as we are pretty sure they are not paying any attention to our emails (if they ever did). More information to follow on the snail mail campaign.

Great news! Monica Jaye is now streaming live. While streaming from your computer or phone is a fairly new platform for many of us, hey, this is our Monica so I’m going to buck up and give this a try. You can listen to The Monica Jaye Show weekdays from 10am to 12pm right here: https://pilled.net/#/profile/152065 and check out her website at https://themonicajayeshow.com/

Of interest is the article by Valerie White summarizing the Jackie Calvert incident and also an article regarding the Reno Police Department being mandated to become vaxed by the Police Chief and Reno City Manager. The articles are below.

Last, but certainly not least, the Washoe County Commissioners are meeting with Carson City to determine who will fill the District 16 Senate seat. The agenda isn’t out yet; it is due out Friday. Who has put their hat in the ring? We won’t know until Friday. Yet, if you have a preference, you are going to have to speak up and let those Commissioners know. The meeting is 1PM here in Reno at the WC Commissioners Chambers (see address below). I do know that Melissa Clement is extremely qualified and in my opinion the best choice for this position. Included below is the Carson City Board of Supervisors. Write them all! The Washoe County School Board is having it’s own special meeting Tuesday November 9th from 8am to 11am to decide who will fill Jackie Calvert’s position until the election in 2022. Once again, email them or attend the meeting to have your voice heard.

I would like to challenge us all to do one thing, embrace any one item to further the taking back of this county and this state. Take on writing one email, attended just one meeting. One single step forward.

Best regards,

Bruce Parks

Additional information regarding the recent resignation of WCSD Board Trustee Jacqueline Calvert has come to light. Calvert resigned from the WCSD Board of Trustees after it became public that she no longer lived in the district she represented. https://www.rgj.com/story/news/2021/09/14/questions-residency-requirement-wcsd-trustee-calvert/8334851002/

Calvert submitted her change of address to WCSD in March, 2019. Calvert claims she was unaware that her new residence was outside of District F, the district she was elected to represent. Trustees are paid $750 per month and receive district-paid full medical insurance coverage while serving as a board trustee. WCSD continued to wrongfully pay Calvert’s monthly stipend and medical insurance fees until her resignation which amounted to more than $57,000.

To date, WCSD has taken no actions to recoup public funds wrongfully paid to Calvert from March, 2019 to October, 2021. Public agencies have a duty and responsibility to recover over payments made to individuals receiving public funds. Calvert also voted on several WCSD board of trustee motions from March, 2019 to Oct., 2021 when she was not legally authorized to vote. WCSD has given no indication that they will rescind her votes on those motions.

Many questions remain regarding Calvert’s change of address notification to the school district. WCSD recently engaged a local law firm to complete an investigation, but it did not include which individuals or departments besides Human Resource knew about Calvert’s relocation prior to it being made public.

—Did HR report Calvert’s relocation to trustees or legal counsel? Who else knew of her relocation?
—Which WCSD individual is responsible for monitoring issues such as this one? Why didn’t any WCSD employee investigate the consequence of Calvert’s relocation?
—Is legal counsel taking action right now to recover over payments to Calvert and to rescind all of her board of trustee votes?

Special Contribution to The Nevada Patriot

“30-40 Cops are Quitting; Our Morale is the Worst It’s Ever Been”
Inside Source: “Vax Mandates by Police Chief and City Manager
Are Destroying RPD and Endangering the Community”

Inside RPD sources reported the following to The Nevada Patriot –
A special vax-mandate meeting was held last week with RPD Police Chief Jason Soto and his top levels of officers. The meeting was motivated by the decision of 30-40 RPD officers to quit or be fired, rather than submit to forced vaccinations AND soon-to-be-required booster shots. This directive is coming from the Reno City Manager Doug Thornley, and is something that Soto does not personally agree with, but he is unwilling to challenge the City Manager.

• After the meeting, Soto’s upper level staff were directed to go back to the groups of individual officers in RPD headquarters where they tried using insincere encouragement to get the resistant cops to get their vaccinations.
• A few minutes later, Thornley sent dozens of pizzas to the officers to thank them for their hard work.
• And 1-Hour after THAT came a directive from Thornley to all cops saying they’d either have to comply with the vax – AND a booster…or face immediate termination.

When questioned about how RPD was going to deal with 30-40 cops quitting, when RPD is ALREADY understaffed, Thornley said that would be no problem. They would just make all the Detectives work as beat-cops, and the Detective Department would effectively stop functioning to any appreciable degree.

Also reported to The Nevada Patriot was the extent to which downtown crime has increased, because the officers are not allowed to be pro-active in enforcing the law, but must wait to be called after crimes have been committed.

A number of the soon-to-be-quitting-or-fired RPD officers are applying for jobs with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department.
Others are planning to move or pursue new careers.

WHY HAS THE RENO CITY COUNCIL NOT REPORTED THIS, AND WHY ARE THEY GIVING THE NEW CITY MANAGER THE AUTONOMY TO ENDANGER THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY?

ACTION: WCSD Serving Filet of Jeff Church 25 Oct 21

My Fellow Patriots,

The time has come. Washoe County School District is attempting to crucify one of our own on Monday: the Attempted Censure of Jeff Church. This action is a direct result of Jeff Church disagreeing with the Board. The policies that they are alleging he violated are so vague and ambiguous, that simply speaking at one of the Board meeting could be construed as a violation of one of the polices. They have stalled, they have delayed, they have postponed, and the time has now arrived. The time and place: Monday, October 25, 2021 4pm at 925 E 9th Street, Reno. If you cannot attend, please email. You do not have to be a Washoe County resident to email or speak. Dress very warm as it is anticipated that there will NOT be enough seats or civil accommodations for the numbers of people attending. RVs are being lined up by others in order to keep us all warm. Jeff Church has been taking it for the team for a while. Let’s support him in every way we can. Now is the time to stand up and stand together. The taking back of our Washoe County Schools had begun.

Together in the fight for freedom,

Patriotic Review The Wind of Change 11 October 21

Patriotic Review The Wind of Change 11 October 21

My Fellow Patriots,

I can feel the change in the air and I’m not talking about the weather. We are having our first in-person Nevada Patriot meeting at the Spanish Springs Library at 6:30pm this Thursday on October 14th. At 6pm the library closes and the staff is typically gone by 6:15pm. While masks are technically required inside the library, please note that we do not consider ourselves the self ordained mask police and that people should make their own choices. The guest speakers include Monica Jaye, candidate for Nevada State Senate and 99.1 FM talk show host, along with Ciara of Battle Born Moms for Education which is a new organization doing battle with the WCSBoard.

Of notable importance is the is the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees meeting this Tuesday and they will be discussing the Infinite Campus. Here is what John Eppolito, who strongly opposed the use of this program, has to say about it.

Infinite Campus
Nevada has created what experts call; the most massive data base ever created on students in human history – that data lives FOREVER with a paid third party vendor called INFINITE CAMPUS (IC). Data stored includes: counseling, psychiatric, medical, discipline, and minor discipline. Parents do not have access easy access to most of the data stored in Infinite Campus but numerous other parties do. A subset of IC data, including the most incriminating data, is shared with the Nevada Department of Education for their SAIN system, SAIN data is also stored forever.
In addition, people like The Washoe County School District counselor that recently got arrested on child pornography charges had access to the Counseling Tab, this is one of the private tabs in Infinite Campus that parents can’t access.
To learn more about Infinite Campus go to ProtectNevadaChildren.org, or if you are on Facebook you can go to Protect Nevada Children.

Also on Tuesday is the Washoe County Commissioners meeting where Chair Bob Lucey is attempting to give himself even more power. Here is what the Commission Watchdog, Cindy Martinez, has to say about this:

We are asking that you make every possible effort to attend the 10/12/21 BCC meeting at 10 am.
The continuing topic of concern will always be:
1. Declare an end to the “Public Health Emergency”
2. Prohibit mandatory Covid-19 vaccines.
3. Ban Covid-19 vaccine passports/verification
4. Ban mask mandates
5. Promote good health & therapeutic treatments for Covid-19
6. Acknowledge Covid 19 is now endemic, NOT a pandemic.

There are a number of items on the agenda this week. Please review the agenda via the attached link for information. AGENDA: https://www.washoecounty.gov/bcc/board_committees/2021/files/agendas/2021-10-12/BCC%20-%2010.12.21.pdf

Of great interest and import this meeting, is a “Resolution to Delegate Decisions Regarding Litigation to the County Chair and Washoe County Manager.” Currently, Chair Bob Lucey is the subject of a number of lawsuits, most notably one by Reno Christian Fellowship, regarding the sale of their land for development. Chair Lucey was one of the “no” votes, reportedly for arbitrary reasons. The church felt sufficiently aggrieved that it sued.
This delegation of authority to resolve litigation would be delegated to … Chair Lucey (or any future chair) and the County Manager, today, Eric Brown. Do you see any conflict of interest in the Chair making decisions on litigation in which he or the County Manager is either involved or directly the subject thereof? He has some ‘splainin’ to do, Lucy (pun intended).
Coincidentally, the statute under which this delegation of authority would fall was amended in the 2019 Legislature. Convenient, isn’t it? Please read the staff report and Resolution. We believe you will find the scope and intent to be ample opportunity to hide the wrong doing of employees or officers of the county. Where are the checks and balances? Where is the accountability?? ITEM 12, see PDFs of STAFF REPORT and Resolution for Delegation of Authority .

Change is hanging in the air and I encourage you join in and take part.

Hope to see you at the Nevada Patriot meeting,

Bruce Parks

Patriotic Review 26 September 21

Patriotic Review 26 September 21

My Fellow Patriots,

Great news!! I am so excited that you couldn’t wipe the grin off of my face with a Brillo pad. We are going to have our first in-person Nevada Patriot meeting since the whole China Virus debacle began. We will be meeting at the Spanish Springs Library at 6:30pm on October 14th. At 6pm the library closes and the staff is typically gone by 6:15pm. While masks are technically required inside the library, please note that we do not consiter ourselves the self ordained mask police which is why we moved the meeting time to 6:30pm. People should make their own choices.

The report from the Washoe County School front is that while we were successful at in having a Trustee resign for violating the Nevada Revised Statutes that requires an elected official to actually reside in the district they represent, the Board is retaliating against the lone conservative voice on the Board. This Tuesday I encourage any and all that can attend the meeting at 10am for the Public Comment for the Working Session, or at 4pm for the regular meeting, to speak out in opposition for censuring Jeff Church. You can see the excerpt from the Agenda of the Regular Meeting below. If you cannot attend, please email all of the Board Trustees your public comment publiccomments@washoeschools.net Please note that Trustee Church has not received a list of when, where or how he has violated the Board Policies listed below (see list from the Agenda below).

3.05 DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION, PURSUANT TO BOARD POLICY 9051(4)(G), TO CENSURE TRUSTEE JEFFREY CHURCH BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR POTENTIAL VIOLATIONS OF BOARD POLICY 9050 (3)(b); (3)(c)(ii); (3)(g); BOARD POLICY 9051 (1)(b)(i); (1)(h); BOARD POLICY 9052 (1)(a); (1)(b); (1)(d); (2)(a); (2)(b); (2)(c); (5)(c)(i); (6)(a); (6)(c); BOARD POLICY 9055 (4)(a)(i); (4)(b)(v); BOARD POLICY 9081 (2)(a); (2)(b); (2)(c); (2)(f); (3)(a); (4); BOARD POLICY 9088 (1); AND/OR BOARD POLICY 9115 (1)(f)(i); (1)(f)(vi); (1)(f)(vii), BOARD PROTOCOLS, AND/OR THE DUTIES A TRUSTEE OWES THE DISTRICT, FOR EXAMPLE, THE DUTY OF CARE, LOYALTY, AND FIDUCIARY DUTY; PURSUANT TO NEVADA REVISED STATUTE (NRS) 241.033 AND NRS 241.034, THE BOARD WILL CONSIDER THE CHARACTER, ALLEGED MISCONDUCT AND/OR PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF TRUSTEE JEFFREY CHURCH AND MAY TAKE ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION AGAINST TRUSTEE JEFFREY CHURCH (FOR POSSIBLE ACTION) ***This item will not be heard before 4:00 p.m.***

Additionally we need to hold the Board accountable for allowing Jackie Calvert to sit on a Board Meeting when both the General Counsel and the Board President knew she was not a legitimate Board Member which would make them complicit in a crime. They were aware and did nothing to stop the fraud. We must demand the Board hold Jackie accountable for the money she defrauded from the Washoe County tax payers. Also, her votes that were deciding factors during her illegitimate tenure must be revisited. As and example, her vote allowed Joe Rodriguez to be appointed as a Trustee for District C over a candidate that conservatives support, Sean McCaffrey. This should not and cannot stand! Emails on this topic should go to each Board Trustee and not public comment email. For individual Trustee emails scroll down.

Thomas Jefferson said, ” I know of no safer repository for power than the people themselves.” As long as we the people stand up for ourselves we can always keep tyranny at bay.

Bruce Parks

Patriotic Review 2 September 21

My Fellow Patriots,

The China-virus garbage, the California fires, the Afghanistan debacle, the abuses from our local, state, and federal governments; I can certainly see how a person would become disheartened and discouraged. I understand how easy it would be to just give up. In times like this I cannot help but think about General Washington and the troops that had been forced to flee from New York in the early part of the War for Independence. It seemed like all was lost, but they still marched, some barefoot, through the snow and across the Delaware River to attack the forces gathered in Trenton, New Jersey on Christmas Day. That’s right, we will row across a frozen river to kill you in your sleep on Christmas Day! Keeping that in mind, I urge all of you to stay the course. Continue to show up, stand up, and speak up! We can, and will, win this fight. Now more than ever it is critical that patriots become involved in any way they can. There are numerous, outstanding organizations that are always recruiting new members ranging from all of the different Republican Clubs to some of the organizations you will see below.

In a recent conversation I had with a friend, we were talking about how we would like to see more people becoming involved in fighting back against the tyranny we see. I told him that when they are finally marching towards the box cars at gunpoint and I hear somebody complaining about how wrong this is, my first question will be, “Did you stand up and fight back when you had an opportunity? If not, shut up and get in the box car.”
